Wow - can you believe how fast this month has flown? Time’s flying too fast - and they already have Easter Eggs in the shops - can you believe that!!! But before we can think about all those yummy Easter treats we have to deal with Valentine’s Day. If you haven’t already had a look, there are some new goodies that feature the symbol of “love” on both the necklace and beads to go pages. Oh, and while you’re looking, dont forget to rate my site!

What’s with the fish I hear you ask? Well, as I was taking this picture, it reminded me of Picasso’s work. I called this arrangement: Fish with red onion and lemon. My boys went fishing while we were are the beach last week. We had a relaxing time - lots of sun, fresh air and fish, of course! (yumm!)

Both my boys started back at school today - it’s been a very long summer break! A timely return as we were starting to run out of “things to do” and apathy was fast setting in. It was all smiles as the end of the first day though, so I guess they were looking forward to it too! :)

January 13, 2007

Isn’t nature just amazing? Below is a photo I look of my flowering frangipani a few days ago. I was beginning to think it wasn’t going to happen as many of our neigbouring plants are already starting to drop their blooms. But, all good things come to those who wait! I just love this flower! So simple and bold and an inspiration for many of my beads this week.                                                                                                                                                                                               On the bead front this week has seen many orders finished and sent off to their new owners. Have posted another set on the bead page but I have to admit, I didn’t get as many done as I thought I would - just ran out of time I guess!

It seems no sooner have we finished celebrating one thing, the next one is virtually on our doorstep. Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and so I thought I would give you “sneak peek into some of my heart beads. I will have these posted for sale in the following few days, some as focal beads and the others strung into jewellery. Keep your eye on the e “beads to go” page for  website specials in the week to come.

January 6, 2007

Well, the first week of the new year has come and almost gone - so far, its been good. Actually, now that I think of it, its been quite busy time with orders for beads and jewellery already coming in.                                                                       Don’t forget, if you see something you like or you’d like me to make for you, you can email me for details: liz@creativeartyfacts.com.au

My new Minor torch arrived this week. I’ve been waiting for this baby to arrive for some time now. To prepare for this special event, I even cleaned up my work space and organised my glass storage!                                                                                I took a few pictures as it’s not often this clean. I have to thank my DH for cutting what seemed like 100’s of pvc piping to store my glass. And of course, after we were all hooked up and ready to go DH couldn’t resist a “play”.

The first of the new beads sets has been posted on the “beads to go” page ... there will be more sets ready and up for grabs  by the end of the week, so make sure you visit again to check them out!                                                                                         Now that I can actually see my glass booty, I’m keen to play around with some new glass (Czech and Messy Glass colours) that I’ve had tucked away and  haven’t had the chance to experiment with! I also have some special goodies arriving from the US this week - so stay turned for the “new and different” appearing on the blog some time soon.

Thanks to all those who have been visiting my website via the “Lampwork Artist’s top 100”. The results speak for themselves. I appreciate your continued support and value your feedback and comment. Keep it coming !!!!

Happy New Year!

Welcome to the start of another year and some  “changes” for my web site. I’ve been thinking about making a few adjustments for some time now and used the Christmas holiday period to sit and review things as they were. The changes will hopefully make this site a little more user friendly and keep you informed of what’s happening in my bead making world.

You may have already noticed a new look to my home page. I have added links to both the professional associations that I am part of. In addition to this, there is a link to “Lampwork Artist’s Top 100” site. It allows you to rate my site and leave comments if you wish.

The holidays have allowed me to have some much needed (uninterrupted) torch time. While I’m waiting for my “new toy” to arrive I have using the Carlisle - a very different torch to my trusty Hot Head.

After lots and lots of “PPP” I am enjoying making some of Andrea Guarino’s Salmon Eggs. It is a true test of patience, persistence and perseverance.

On the list of important things to do was to also fine tune my Hollow Bead making skills. I have made lots of regular round ones, but I like these ones the best! Keep and eye out on the “Beads to go!” page for new items. You never know what will turn up!
